The Interfaith Peace Garden
On Saturday, October 25, 2003 "National Make a Difference Day," a Peace Garden sponsored by the Interfaith Center was established on the Bishop Kearney High School campus as a youth and adult community project.
The Interfaith Peace Garden is in memory of the children who have died from random community violence and global holocausts both past and present. |
In rememberance of these children, The Interfaith Center invites the community to visit the Peace Garden for personal contemplation on peaceful solutions to local and global violence.
Participants representing:
- Girl Scouts of the Genesee Valley, Inc. Troop 541
- Family and Friends of Murdered Children and Victims of Violence, Inc.
- Rochester Landscape Technology Program, Inc.
- Bishop Kearney High School Parents Association
Each organization donated flowering plants and worked the soil in the creation of the "Interfaith Peace Garden."
